Painful, burning sensation when you try to pass urine?
You are not alone, 1 in 2 women may experience urinary tract infection (UTI), at some point in their life.

When you need to go, but it stings to go … take Ural®.

You’ll feel the relief!

Bladder infections, also called cystitis, are a type of urinary tract infection (UTI) which is surprisingly common.
The painful stinging, burning sensation when you try to pass urine shouldn’t be ignored.

Ural® provides fast, effective relief from the painful and burning symptoms of urinary tract infections.

Causes

Why did I get a UTI?

A urinary tract infection (UTI) happens when bacteria get into the urinary tract and multiply. The most common type of UTI is Cystitis, where bacteria have infected the bladder.

Women of all ages can get UTI’s for all sorts of reasons. Women are more commonly affected due to anatomy; the urethra is shorter, enabling bacteria to travel to the bladder more easily. Men and children can also get UTI’s.

Symptoms

Symptoms of UTI

  • Pain or burning during or immediately after urination (dysuria)
  • An urge to urinate frequently
  • Need to urinate more often than usual during the night (nocturia)
  • Need to urinate without much notice
  • Abnormally coloured or strong smelling urine
  • Pain in your lower abdomen
  • Suprapubic pain (pain just above your pubic bone)
  • Older women may have no symptoms or the only symptoms are being more muddled, incontinent, sleepier, no appetite or just feeling generally unwell

If you have any of these symptoms, see your doctor or pharmacist

If left untreated, some UTI’s can lead to kidney infections, which can be a very serious condition. If you have any of these symptoms, see your doctor or pharmacist urgently:

  • High fever
  • Temperature below 36°C
  • Pain on the sides of the lower back (in the kidney area)
  • Feeling very unwell
  • Confusion, drowsiness or you have difficulty speaking
  • Blood in your urine

If you have any of these symptoms see your doctor urgently

Treatments

What treatments are available for UTI’s?

Your pharmacist or doctor can help you to find the right treatment for you, such as an antibiotic that can treat a bacterial infection.

Ural® works fast to relieve the stinging sensation

Ural® provides fast relief from painful burning symptoms because it’s an alkaliniser, which works by neutralising the acid in your urine, making it less painful to pass urine.

Ural® is available in pharmacies, ask for it by name.

How do I use Ural®?

As soon as you notice any cystitis symptoms, take Ural® as early as possible. This pleasant-tasting effervescent drink can help relieve the painful, burning sensation – and you can take it up to four times daily.

To use, just follow the easy directions on the pack. But don’t take Ural® for more than five days, unless your pharmacist or doctor advises you otherwise. And if your symptoms don’t improve within a couple of days, or if you feel worse, go to see your pharmacist or doctor right away.

Self-care

Tips

  • Drink plenty of water daily, this helps to flush out the bacteria.
  • Keep your genital area clean.
  • Take showers instead of baths.
  • Urinate and wash before and after sexual activity.
  • When you need to go – go! Holding it in can help bacterial infections develop.
  • Wipe front to back after going toilet – and wipe gently.
  • Wear loose cotton underwear.
  • Avoid getting constipated by eating plenty of fibre (such as fruit).
  • Avoid perfumed bubble bath, soap or talcum powder.
